A Free Magic Number is a virtual phone number available through the SimBuster app. It gives you a separate number for receiving calls without needing another SIM card or phone. Magic Numbers are currently available as UK national numbers.
Is the Magic Number really free?
There is no rental charge for claiming an available Magic Number. Charges may still apply for outgoing calls, call forwarding, AI usage, paid plans or other additional services.
How does a Magic Number help protect my privacy?
You can share your Magic Number instead of giving people your personal mobile number. Calls to the Magic Number are then handled through your SimBuster setup.
Is a Magic Number anonymous?
No. It helps keep your personal mobile number private from the people you share it with, but it does not provide anonymity. SimBuster accounts and services remain subject to applicable laws, verification requirements and our terms.
Can I use it as a business number?
Yes. You can use it for customer enquiries, freelance work, side projects, bookings, callbacks or as a starter business line.
What type of number will I receive?
You will receive one of the Magic Number types currently available inside the SimBuster app. At present, Magic Numbers are available as UK national numbers. Availability may change.
How long can I keep the number?
Your Magic Number can remain active for up to one year, subject to activity, availability, fair use and SimBuster’s terms.
Why must I receive a call within 30 days?
You must receive at least one incoming call during the first 30 days to show that the number is actively being used.
Can I use Receptionist and voicemail?
Yes. You can add greetings, voicemail and supported Receptionist call flows to your Magic Number.
Can I make outgoing calls?
Yes. You can make outgoing calls through SimBuster using call credit or an eligible calling plan. Calling rates vary by destination.
Can I receive SMS or verification codes?
SMS support depends on the number type and will be shown inside the SimBuster app. Do not rely on a Magic Number for verification unless SMS support is specifically displayed.
Will Magic Numbers become available in more countries?
We may add more countries and number types as our availability and interconnect coverage expand.
